Then preceded to tell him his ad was actually comical!

By the way - don't you love the "Lifestyle assistant" description? I could not make this shit up if I tried!

I think the guy should probably adjust the job description to "MOMMY" The other thing I am wondering about is the pay - it says 15-20K/hr - IF this job pays 15 to 20 K an hour I'm applying!

Household and Lifestyle Assistant

Estimated time: 20-25 hours/week

Overview
We would love to make the house a home, eat healthy meals, and dress well. We would love someone to help us when we're sick. We would love to have someone who can help us make this happen.
We are natural minded family consisting of two very young children and a young single retired entrepreneur father. Though we spend a lot of time together the children sleep at their mother's, which is close by. We are pretty simple and fun. We have a 300 year old colonial house that is about 2,500 square feet that we keep clean. We eat healthy and vegetarian. We have two golden retrievers. While we could hire many people to do each of these following separates tasks, we do not want the responsibility of coordinating multiple people. We are pretty liberal when it comes to spending.

You will do well if you have a strong desire to serve and care for others, and also have a lot of fun with the aesthetic side of life such as fashion, decorating, and cooking.

Household Maintenance
You must take care of the home and maintain it at the highest level. This is from the big picture touches that make the house a home to the details of day to day pick up and cleaning. We would like the house to be decorated so that it is very comfortable and has a natural and open feel. This includes choosing furniture, paint colors, window treatments, photos, and other home touches. We would like the house kept thoroughly clean, from the radiators, to under the furniture, and to the windows. We would like the house always picked up and neat. Since we do not use most of the rooms, this should be relatively easy, probably including a pickup once in the morning such as making the bed and emptying the dishwasher, and in the evening after the kids have left.

We also want someone who can be proactive about pruning unused items in the house and organizing. We like to live simply and this often means getting rid of things and simplifying.

Estimated time: 7 hours/week

Cooking
Do you enjoy cooking? We are a vegetarian low-fat household and a key to living this way is having great food. We would like a snack plate of fresh fruits and vegetables in the morning at around 10:00 AM, lunch at noon, another snack plate in the afternoon around 2:00 PM, and dinner. Preparing things in advance would be okay as long as they are easily served. For example, snacks might be prepared the day before and left in the refrigerator. We would like a menu prepared for the week on the Friday preceding. We have plenty of great recipes; we just need you to select them and prepare them.
We love surprises and special treats.
Estimated Time: 7 hours/week

Style
Are you good with fashion? We would like someone who has a strong sense of style and cares about appearance. For the children this includes making sure they always have the clothes they need such as shoes, hats, scarves, and coats. The children should look good and fashionable for their age, including hair and nail care. For the father the same things generally apply and we would like to make sure he is always very nicely dressed, the clothes are stylish, and appropriate for a single retired entrepreneur.
In addition to appearance, we also want someone who knows how to have fun and can discovering fun social activities for the children and/or the father. We especially want to find activities that help everyone socialize.
Estimated Time: 1 hour/week

Sick Care
We also would like someone who can provide caring support when any of us is sick. We want you to proactive and think of things like special meals.
Today Ms.Bee received a gift bag (that was clearly reused a few times) of goodies from the Boss! Ms.Bee is bursting with excitement and cannot wait to show you the LOOT!

First we shall start off with the card! Nothing says the boss appreciates all your hard work like "Best Wishes for 2012!"

Soap - I actually got 2 boxes and left on in the car after is fell off the seat going around a corner - man the SHIT stinks! Pepe LePEW smells better! Do you think maybe she could have sprung for just a Crabtree and Evelyn? NOPE - I would love to know where she picked this CRAP up!

Snazzy don't you think? Or as my kids say, those snizzle! Yup - I think I'll sport those things on the next Chevy Chase Christmas Vacation movie! These were BIG bucks!

Even The Man's Man said "it's time to go" - and he was a little taken aback by the lack of effort here...............Don't get me wrong - I always appreciate a gift no matter the cash value - some of the best gifts I have ever received were small but meant something because of who they came from - but this is just laughable - I was going to say insulting but it's too laughable to be insulting!

Note to self - "Don't bother giving boss a box of shit for Christmas" - she is already full of it!

Merry Christmas Boss - and all the best to YOU in 2012! I think a new assistant is on top of the list!Beehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10261294453490462048noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-740633558526621043.post-56946209621888999792011-12-19T18:21:00.000-05:002011-12-19T18:21:08.043-05:00This is an emergency broadcast....Ms.Bee would like to interrupt your daily activity to warn you that she will be posting some pictures of her Christmas presents from the crazy looney boss! And you won't believe what loot she got! Stay tuned!Beehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10261294453490462048noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-740633558526621043.post-1386072001576804222011-12-09T19:17:00.000-05:002011-12-09T19:17:39.448-05:00Random observations from the 'burbs!Well it's certainly been a LONG time since Ms.Bee posted! Wow - time flies when you are NOT having fun!

Thanksgiving went off without a hitch! We had no broken refrigerators (like we had last Christmas) - and nobody was vomiting on the side while some of us ate! All in all it was a great day to spend with family and we all thanked GOD for food and booze!

I saw a man yesterday flossing his teeth in the car.............GROSS...........

I am tired of saying Happy Holidays! Merry Christmas - Happy Hanukkah - or Happy Kwanzaa - whatever it is you celebrate - Happy happy - can we just call it what it is?

Junior and I spent the day at a State University looking around - it was good - Junior liked it, I liked it and we put that on the "list"!

Ms.Bee learned this week that some other "full time" employees in her office got Christmas bonus's - however she did not receive one! While the boss happily played Santa on the phone with her other 2 employees telling them they could expect their bonus's in the mail - Ms.Bee sat by and smiled brightly and when she received the the invite to said Boss's Christmas soiree' via Post It note with "Bridget" wrote on it sitting in her pile of "to do" things - She thought "ain't no way Ain't Ms.Beehaven will be attending BEE'Otch" - as a matter of fact - I didn't even acknowledge that I received it or saw it! I think Ms.Bee is not cut out to work for woman (bee'otches) - however I do think this one has a little personality issue that is interfering in her everyday life (IE - the life that she doesn't have) - so I'm looking the other way and looking to move on - I don't need psycho BEE'Otch trying to play head games by telling me how wonderful her last TEMP was who couldn't put a letter together with correct spelling - but he was a 30 year old guy who fawned all over her and I think she misses that attention..........he didn't last 90 days at his "new" job either - now he's selling granola bars! And I am not kidding! Said Boss thinks it's wonderful! "Look at these bars - aren't the wonderful - and every bar he sells feeds a child in Africa" - GREAT - how about you KISS MY ASS! Ok - I'm done! Ms.Bee predicts a new job in the New Year!

The house is decorated..............The Man's Man got a new Ford "Tough" pickup for Christmas and I am sitting by the pellet stove alone - Life is Good!Beehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10261294453490462048noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-740633558526621043.post-22322125000966758072011-11-05T14:24:00.000-04:002011-11-05T14:24:41.691-04:00Thanksgiving questionaireGreetings - from the Abyss!

Ms. Bee is pondering the Thanksgiving menu because that is what she does.........she writes it - then crosses things out, then rewrites it, then looks at more recipes.........decisions decisions..........as long as there is wine and booze we will survive!

Ms.Bee is wondering a few things:

Do you eat turkey for Christmas as well?

What is your favorite side dish with turkey?

Do you eat in the afternoon or evening?

Do you have a specific tradition on Thanksgiving?

I will tell you that my favorite side dish is Spinach souffle' - it's an absolute must have for me and my sista too! We eat it for breakfast the next day and the next until it's gone!

We DO NOT eat turkey on Christmas, my Dad was never a big fan of turkey in his younger days so Mom always had roast beef on Christmas................which is my personal favorite...........I think each holiday should have it's own unique menu! My Italian inlaws always had lasanga - I love pasta but I love beef more - so beef wins out!

We eat mid-afternoon - usually around 3:00PM - after we have hor'derves and drinks!

We do not have a specific tradition on Thanksgiving - except to always give thanks - for what we have - and to be together...........which is a blessing.

And I will tell you I am in the 6-10 area - this SUCKS!Beehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10261294453490462048noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-740633558526621043.post-81916332265907673562011-10-26T10:32:00.000-04:002011-10-26T10:32:42.670-04:00Daytime TV is like watching ice meltSo Ms.Bee OB-viously is not sitting around on Fridays (her day off) watching daytime TV - but today because she doesn't feel well and her little guy has a 1/2 day - she swapped her day off and is working Friday this week.

Ms.Bee would like to take a moment to tell you what the big 3 networks are playing at the moment:

CBS - Let's Make a Deal
ABC - Nate Berkus
NBC - Today Show

Is America stupid? (yes I now the answer already)

Let's Make a Deal - lets start with this one - people get dressed up in costumes and try to win stupid prizes like "dinette sets" from Broyhill..........and sometimes they get a goat instead - DUH - DUH and DUH - bring back Monty Hall and then I might consider watching! Wayne Brady does NOTHING for this show!

Nate Berkus - Now actually I like Nate - he's not a bad buy - he's cute, definately has good taste, etc etc.....but the show........just doesn't get me excited you know? How much decorating can you watch? I don't know - maybe it's me!

Then we have the 15th hour of the Today Show! Now Matt and dimwit Ann Curry have been on since 7:00AM - it's now 10:30AM - how much TODAY do we need? How about TOMORROW - yeah - How about I make a TOMORROW show? Get off my TV! If I stay tuned long enough I'll get to see Kathie "make me barf " Lee and Hoda (who names their child Hoda?) - blither all over each other and drink wine.............I get all Lewis Black and want to smash the fricking TV when I see or hear Kathie Lee............the woman needs to go - HOME!

Then I have 9 BAzillion channels of cable with nothing on.............even Food Network has that stupid Sandra Lee on or repeats that are 5 years old!

I think I'll go back to bed!Beehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10261294453490462048noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-740633558526621043.post-92209523810962672142011-10-20T20:26:00.000-04:002011-10-20T20:26:45.785-04:00Hail to Dorothy - The Wicked Witch is dead!

Oh wait - this isn't the Wicked Witch is it? Well, they look alot alike - FUGLY as hell - so what the hell - let's give it up for Dorothy!

In other Ms.Beehaven News................Ms.Bee has been told by her FBIL (the one that wants to build his own casket) - that she is getting old! He says it's ok and that he has come to the realization that he is old and he doesn't care anymore - he has come to terms with the fact he can't do what he used to and he is ok with that! Ms.Bee and he agree on this! However, we have a hard time convincing the Man's Man about this, Mr.Manly still thinks he's 22 and plays hockey on Monday nights at un-GODLY hours - like 11:00PM! Then the "Men" drink beer in the smelly locker room afterwards! EW!

Boy do we have some Yahoo's running for Prez this term huh? How about that Cain? And oh don't forget Rick Perry! Or how about Michelle Bachman? And nothing says Presidential like Vegas baby huh? Oh yeah what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.............or not!

Cheers people - it's Thursday - my virtual Friday - and Ms.Bee is going to enjoy every single moment tomorrow!
Beehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10261294453490462048noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-740633558526621043.post-18449721740261868732011-10-14T18:53:00.000-04:002011-10-14T18:53:22.907-04:00Funerals, caskets and how I plan to go!Yes you read that right! The other day I was going back and forth with my FBIL (favorite brother inlaw) - as I have a couple and he is definitely the fav! We were emailing and discussing another BIL's illness and the fact that we all have space in the family plot. We've always sort of had a running joke that we'd be the last 2 standing and fight till the bitter end for the last remaining spot yadda yadda. I also told my FBIL that if I go before he I wanted him to remind the Man's Man that I would prefer being cremated - AND I really do not want to be put out on display in a funeral home for all to wither and wather over - it's just plain odd to me. I would much prefer I nice service somewhere in a chapel by the ocean or a park along the water - and I specifically told him I want a 3X3 picture of me smiling and laughing "to beat the band" - because that is how I prefer people remember me. I said if I go first my ashes can be kept in a bucket somewhere until the time comes to bury me with the Man's Man - if he goes first - then I don't know because we can't open up the vault and put me in there right? (Now you now this gets weird beyond weird right?) In Massachusetts one's remains must be put in a cement vault..........and then put in the ground...........ew - it's just wrong for me - I can't be resting in the ground - I want to be scattered on top!

So then my FBIL goes on to tell me that in Florida where he lives he looked into a cemetery that lets you be buried in a pine box with no vault! (he lives in the Redneck Riviera) And guess what else? He had the DO-IT-YOURSELF plans to a pine box casket that was fold able so that it would take up less space until your time came! Can I tell you that was 3 days ago and I'm still laughing! Who the hell looks at do-it-yourself casket plans? Well I will tell you who - my FBIL! BUT..........after all that he decided to be cremated too! See his plans below: Seriously what a weirdo huh? I was like hey, ho FBIL WTF!

So - I'm curious - do you have last wishes? Do you care? Would you like my FBIL to build you a fold able casket? :)Beehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10261294453490462048noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-740633558526621043.post-69193923286941660972011-10-03T20:11:00.000-04:002011-10-03T20:11:56.764-04:00The Chew? Ms. Bee was home with sickly Matt last Monday and had the un-pleasure of watching ABC's new show "The Chew" - First let me just say that it's downright appauling that they took Erica Kane off the air - I do not watch soaps - but I used to back in the day and Erica is the Queen of daytime TV - the fact that they replaced AMC with "The Chew" shows you that everyone at ABC daytime TV has their heads up their ASS!

If you haven't been LUCKY? enough to see this show tune in at 1:00PM Eastern or check your local guide - I assure you that you WILL be looking at these idiots with questions marks floating around your head!

The other day Michael Simon had his sister cooking chicken cutlets and then had her purell her hands after handling the RAW chicken - EW EW EW EW - this is gross - wrong and disgusting! EW EW EW!
And chicken cutlets - how awe inspiring is that? Listen I love chicken cutlets - but that is kinda basic cooking isn't it? I mean it's not rocket science - Or is it me? Note to Michael - MUST WASH HANDS THOROUGHLY AFTER HANDLING RAW MEAT! MUST TELL SISTER AS WELL!

And Clinton - oh good Lord - the man puts little signs up telling people where to throw their shrimp tails and dirty hand towels! It must be a gay thing? Really? I don't know about you - but I know that the shrimp tail goes in the trash and if I can't find it - I'll ask - I promise I don't put them in people's plants - Here's a suggestion for Clinton - get some friends who have some class! My friends would not put the shrimp tails in the plants (if I had some) unless they were really drunk!

Mario - cut the pony tail off and cut the shit with Gweneth - nobody can stand her anymore! And you honestly are much better on Iron Chef - also - you look like a lost Brook Trout in the sea! Haha - get it?

Carla - she seriously looks like a witch - I'm sorry - I don't mean to be unkind but the woman does nothing for TV - she needs a makeover of some sort.

Daphne - All I can say is 2 words - Dr. Oz...........well actually let me just say that she's cute - but she seriously only got this job because of her father! I can tell!

In short this show isn't going to last long - in fact it should have been taken off the air the first week it was put on - it was chewed and spit out the first 5 minutes of air time! Can you say Screw Chew?Beehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10261294453490462048noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-740633558526621043.post-70399520476313669932011-10-02T12:47:00.000-04:002011-10-02T12:47:59.276-04:00Sunday ramblings...........Today is Sunday Oct 2, 2011 - On Friday Sept 30, 2011 Redsox Nation lost the man that brought them to 2 World Series since 1918 the other day. And if you can't count - it was 86 fricking years!

Tito you are a class act. It is true Karma is a bitch - John Henry was injured on his "yacht" Friday night and had to be taken to the hospital - Ms.Bee thinks he had one too many after sending Tito packing and fell down - too bad he didn't fall overboard into Boston Harbor!

Friday, Ms. Bee transformed her yard from summer to fall - she pulled up all the summer plantings that were starting to yellow and replaced them will brillant fall colored mums, and pumpkins and gords and funky little things of different colors and shapes! She feels better about the look of the yard now!

Yesterday was October 1st - The Man's Man and I celebrated 23 years of wedded bliss - we started dating in 1986 while I was a Junior in high school, he a senior...........I can tell you he is:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5aMMRes2u4

Ms.Bee has been busy with all things kids, and weddings, and fall cleaning etc...........she also thinks she has a senile dog on her hands. Carson has started to bark at NOTHING and I do mean nothing - which leads me to believe old age is setting in!

Ms.Bee has discovered a new drink while she was away at her good friend Mary's wedding which took place here at the lovely Daniel Webster Inn in Sandwich MA on Sept 17th - trust me a good time was had by all - festivities started at 2:00Pm Friday and never stopped until Sunday!

Jeramiah Weed (sweet tea flavored vodka) and lemonade - yum yum - her new husband Ross has turned me into a Junkie - thanks Ross! What a great time was had by all! And so nice to see a couple SO in love!
Hmmm - I don't know I've lost count - but Ms. Bee has fallen alot the last few years! I hereby officially conclude - I AM NOT A WEEBLE! I wabble and DO FALL DOWN!

Today - Ms. Bee decided to stop at her local grocer in the town in which she works - Ms. Bee only needed a few items - while coming out of the store and almost to the car Ms.Bee's foot came upon a pile of GOOP - you know that goopy stuff they use to seal the cracks in the asphalt - except I am thinking my 8 year old and his friends might have been on the job the day it was done because it looked like a topped off cupcake! Ms.Bee's foot found the goop and she took a header and hit her knees, her hands, her chin, her mouth and hurt her already hurt elbow! And let us know forget our hurt pride shall we? Ms. Bee did have someone come to her rescue - he was not however Tom Brady or Superman - he was however a very nice man and I graciously thanked him several times and assured him I was ok................then Ms. Bee came home and poured herself a drink!

Now Ms.Bee is in bed stiffer than stiff (and no not from the booze) - turning black and blue by the second...................Ms.Bee needs suction cups on the botton of her feet! The End............Beehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10261294453490462048noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-740633558526621043.post-74871206183757636032011-08-13T07:43:00.000-04:002011-08-13T07:43:12.782-04:00More random observations from the 'burbs........Well in case you haven't heard - my sister Meg and her bloggy BFF The Zadge hit Blogher San Diego last weekend - they were supposed to be learning blogging tools to better their blogs - but instead they were out having many libations with various people - which is why I decided to stay home this year.......because you all know Ms.Bee would not have wanted to be a part of any of that carousing and drinking until all hours! Geez girls do you really think I want to do that in NYC with you next year?

Did you hear that Kate Middleton AKA The Duchess of Cambridge was spotted in a sweater she had already been spotted in? It's true! Can you believe that someone actually wears a sweater more than once? And she's royalty and all - it's hard to imagine someone with common sense! AND to add further insult she wore a dress to Will's cousins wedding that she had worn before! AW God!

School is 2 weeks away - Ms.Bee cannot wait! She's had enough of teenagers laying around doing nothing and little boys wearing the same set of cloths for more than 1 day! She's had enough of staying up late and talking until Ms.Bee had to take herself to bed to get some quiet - enough children - get your arses to school! NOW! Although Ms.Bee is slowing coming to the realization that her oldest will be graduating from high school next spring and will have to make some tough decisions - he spent the last week with his girlsfriends Marine Brother and co at Camp Lejeune and appears to have had a really fine time............I hope he didn't get any ideas about being a Mar...............oh never mind - that would never happen .............that would require bed making and clothing folding.............

This mornings headlines say Sarah Palin was swarmed at the Iowa state fair - I'm hoping it was by bees!

Mitt Romney's wealth is reported to be as high as $250 Million - excuse me Mitt but why the "F" do you want to run for President? I'm sorry there Mitt I just don't see it happening for you either..........

Ms.Bee and the gang are on vacation this week - we've decided to do a little camping in the White Mountains - if it rains one little drop I'm running for the nearest hotel! There will be no repeat of the camp show that happened in Bar Harbor a few years ago where I slept in the car for 3 nights only to wake each morning to beutiful sunshine!

Bye bye for now!

That is first and foremost...............Damn I don't like these lazy crazy days of summer............it's just too damn hot to enjoy activity!

Moving on...........I have a sorta old new love.................it's called produce and it can be purchased here........

http://www.verrillfarm.com/

I pass this famous for many things farm stand every day - twice a day - now mind you there are bigger and better places in the area - what I love about this place is I get to see the vegie's and fruit growing daily - there are acres of stuff here and it just marvels me to watch the stuff grow. I want to stop my car some days and run into the fields and pick till my hearts is content..............I don't know why this is - it just is.

I have been watching nothing but the Food Network lately - there really is nothing on 500 channels of tv.......

Why do people insist on biking and running on days like today? Do they feel the need to be Superman/woman? It's too DAMN HOT out there people - relax and have yourself a cold something!

Ms.Bee was going to take herself and the family to a Cape Ann beach tomorrow but it's too hot! Again......that HOT is messing with my life too much!

If you have never heard of Cape Ann, you probably have and don't know it - It's where the Perfect Storm was filmed - Gloucester MA. However - Ms.Bee does not wish to be a fried clam tomorrow so she will seek cooler actitivites..........she would however love to eat a few fried clams somewhere - once a year I venture to the fried side for a little taste of these babies - nothing like 'em! Except for the stuffed oysters at http://www.flounderschowderhouse.com/ in Pensacola Beach - those are yummy too! This however, would cause me to go where AGAIN it's TOO hot!

I will sign off with this old summertime song...............on a side note - doesn't the guy on the right look like our friend Ron over at http://www.ducksmahal.com/ ? Just sayin............

It's true and I'm not afraid to tell you.............my name is Bridget and I had a colonoscopy today. I know I know, it might be too much infomation for some of you but my hope is, like Katie Couric (who had hers done on TV!) - that those of you that may be overdue for this fun little procedure - will get on the phone and dial up your Dr - Pronto! Here are a few statistics that might make you ponder this fun test:

Excluding skin cancers, colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer diagnosed in both men and women in the United States. The American Cancer Society's most recent estimates for the number of colorectal cancer cases in the United States are for 2011:
•101,700 new cases of colon cancer

•39,510 new cases of rectal cancer

Colorectal cancer is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States when men and women are considered separately, and the second leading cause when both sexes are combined. It is expected to cause about 49,380 deaths during 2011.

The test was a piece of cake - I had the Michael Jackson drug of choice - propofol. Which means - I was out cold! However, the nice thing about propofol is you wake up very easily from it - I walked out of the hospital 2 hours later!

The preparation - well - it wasn't the most pleasant experience but I feel it could have been worse! I spent a few hours running to the ladies room last night - but thankfully I followed Dr's orders - ate light on Tuesday and had nothing but jello and chicken broth yesterday.

My Dr told me I made the right choice given my family history and what not - I did have 1 polyp which was removed and will be biopsied - so given the choice that that little polyp could have sat in me and grown into some kind of cancer - I'm really glad I have checked that box off - and you should too!

Maybe I'm too tired? Too Lazy? But lately - I just don't feel like blogging..............I find it WORK! I also don't feel like I can attract many people................while I love the friends that do comment - I sometimes feel that they are doing it out of sympathy...............I LOVE reading other blogs - but sometimes just feel like the blogging part is too much work? I love putting thoughts down on the "paper" but sometimes feel the need to put up pictures and videos and all the jazz that goes along with it............and I know I can compete............am I the only one?Beehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10261294453490462048noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-740633558526621043.post-66819985057084122452011-07-01T10:40:00.000-04:002011-07-01T10:40:15.457-04:00And I'm offMs.Bee and the whole damn fam are heading to Cape Cod today to visit Cape Cod Nana - with a special guest appearence from Meg! Hopefully we will get to the beach later for some Mr.Sunshine - if not we'll pull out the hard stuff and cloud watch from the deck!Beehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10261294453490462048noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-740633558526621043.post-78354714597525817632011-06-17T10:21:00.000-04:002011-06-17T10:21:35.634-04:00Friday musings..........I have been putting together a blog about reality TV to post but am going off topic to post some other important news!

In case you haven't heard - THE BOSTON BRUINS WON THE STANLEY CUP! Woot woot! I might go to the parade tomorrow with the boys - weather dependent!

<img border="0" height="208" i$="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhe-GhxY5HnMIVErHDB6I_CVi4UeSOzD5LeYMiqwzeTw1vh42MgTHtI6HdgLyjqf7qFaEgQqt3tsdRfuSolt1uQ1-8MHBy8vjmbd_XhTXKbys-FGu7-r8Th2tCr4KdW7c0tZXmy8-w4TAvf/s400/front_06162011.jpg" width="400" />

My boy is going to get his driver's license tomorrow.......Happy? Sad? A little of both! Happy because now he can take himself places and enjoy the freedom of being an "almost" adult. I remember getting my license and feeling the freedom and growing up; it's something you never forget, it's a very exciting rite of passage in one's life! Good luck Patrick - even though you scare my sometimes - I know you'll do fine!

<img border="0" height="217" i$="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipo2qgXo-oi2tKZshvdEUvb8fTstiueO3ORbUxq44Y0P8hhpYgdf_JT0uLQf50zeIXa6zozW4Ky_RCzPIEJT9jztJn55BbkpZrBvxC2ttpRXEu6bBm5epUHgoAgs0iNyOelhNHe6AsUfqv/s320/pat+pic.jpg" width="320" />

This weekend is Father's Day - my heart is still heavy that my Dad is gone - but never forgotten. Here's to you Dad - forever in my heart, always by my side. This is my favorite picture of my Dad - this is how I choose to remember him - smiling and laughing......

<img border="0" height="400" i$="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQqRBv2tatt19dCGhw2WsIMHz11bf9YfZoAIFFdkec2N0TJZDi67UhYLc5JqxsZirKZ1kV0F1eeq8UyZMSd83O5sWlEwgJENibqfLKjXheX307ZCSG5t_uI_nKTC_AHJlRadY6w_Up9orP/s400/dad.jpg" width="300" />

And Father's day would not be complete unless I said Happy Fathers Day to my husband..........because although we have our disagreements and are not always on the same page - he is without a doubt one of the best fathers in the world - and I mean that with all my heart. My kids are lucky to have him as their Dad, they might not know it yet - but someday they will and they will feel pride and gratitude. Happy Father's Day Joe - your a good man <strike>Charlie Brown </strike>whoops, I mean Joe!

I know many of you read my post about my childhood friend Eileen, her daughter Emily and her terrible accident...........boy it's been a wild ride for Emily! Emily has been released - home - released - home and in the ICU - again! She has been re-admitted for low sodium which is a huge issue when someone has had trauma - had her clavicle operated on - released - readmitted again for a blood clot in her lung! Please my friends continue to pray for Emily! I haven't seen Eileen is 30 years, we have communicated via notes, emails, facebook etc - but Eileen and I will always have a special bond - it's just the way it is when you crash cars together when you are kids! Oh - and you would not believe - I sent Eileen a note last night letting her know I was praying for Emily's recovery and do you know what she wrote back? Thanks for you thoughts and prayers - etc - GO Bruins! GO BRUINS?? Now I am a BIG hockey fan - I have been watching my B's faithfully - watching them kick some Canuck ASS - but honestly?????????? She's the real deal - she says GO Bruins while her daughter is having the worst time of her life! She is a class act!

In other news, I have been suffering from cracked heels this year - I have been having a tough time with my thyroid ( I have hypothyroidism) and am deficient in Vitamin D! I guess I need to move somewhere where the sun shines alot more! St.Tropez anyone? Aruba? Jamaica? St.Maarten? Wat'evah! Take me to the sunshine! Just don't take me to the Sunshine State - because it's too HOT in the Sunshine state for Ms.Bee! I bought some of this yesterday:

This stuff is the Bee's Knees! Haha get it? I've applied this stuff about 5 times since yesterday and it's doing the job! Thank you Burt - Ms.Bee needs all the Burts Bee's she can get!
What's everyone up to for the summer? Ms.Bee is thinking Maine is in the future - I love Maine - the water is a bit chilly for swimming in the ocean - but poolside is ok with me - I know I'm safe from sharks too!

Hope everyone has a great weekend - and don't forget Emily in your prayers!Beehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10261294453490462048noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-740633558526621043.post-1806243055793611102011-05-26T22:40:00.000-04:002011-05-26T22:40:17.776-04:00RED ALERTOh hey there..............been awhile since Ms.Bee posted huh? Check this out!

I'll believe it when I feel it OK? Because the weather here has SUCKED! That's right I said it - SUCKED! I think this is a cruel joke being played on me........

One more thing because I'm not in a gabbing mood at 10:15PM at night.........

If you're the praying kind, please pray for this most beautiful girl Emily, her Mom (who is pictured with her) - and her family............Emily was in a horrific bicycle accident last weekend in Michigan - she was wearing a helmet and she had a fractured skull! Wear your helmets if you bike people! And say an extra prayer for Emily and her family tonight!

Eileen is Emily's Mom - I grew up with Eileen and we were childhood friends. We fought off bat colonies (really we were attacked) together - and brought a big Buick station wagon to it's knees just putting it in reverse and backing it into a tree (Eileen was at the wheel by default - she was older). Eileen also had the Barbie camper! Can you say jealous? Eileen's Mom Mary, who is just a doll of a lady is my pseudo Godmother as my real Godmother passed away when I was an infant. Mary stepped up to the plate and offered her Godmotherness to me because I was feeling sorry for myself and whining that I didn't have a Godmother! She is that kinda lady! Here is Mary and her husband Jim - aren't they a handsome couple?

One more thing ( I promise for real) before I leave you...........Here is my most handsome son Patrick and his girlfriend Lindsey at the Prom 2 weeks ago...........they are so very cute no? :)

Beehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10261294453490462048noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-740633558526621043.post-7472040401680130622011-04-22T11:17:00.000-04:002011-04-22T11:17:21.058-04:00Here comes Peter Cotton TailHoppin down the bunny trail............oh hey sorry - I was singing to myself - you caught me!

My week has been crazy every night with cake pop dipping, decorating and wrapping - whew what a job! However - I am proud of they way these little baskets came out - and hopefully folks will be very generous when they purchase one as the money goes to a great cause - if you read my last post you know about Jim and his parents plight to help him live a better life! What a great group of fire men and woman we have in this little town of 20,000 - they are the team that put together this benefit tonight - my cake pop making was just a tiny sliver of what is going on behind the scenes today! It's been awhile - Ms.Bee has been so busy wrapping up hockey season, starting Lacrosse season, working, attending various social activities, cooking, cleaning, doing the laundry, wiping up dog crap, (my friend The Zadge can relate!), picking up dog poop, cleaning up maple syrup from half the kitchen, vacuuming dog hair, cleaning toilets, she has had ZERO time to write!

I'm quickly checking in to let you know I've been just too damn busy! Ms.Bee has undertaken a serious project along with all her other duties! Ms.Bee is making Cake Pop Easter Baskets for a fundraiser for my good buddy Jim down the street who has autonomic epilepsy - which is quite serious. Jim suffers many grand mal seizures daily - Jim is 20 and the local Fire Dept has taken Jim under their wing because Jim LOVES the fire house and fire trucks. He also loves helping out at the fire house when he is feeling well enough! Jim's Mom and Dad are so devoted to Jim that they decided to take him to the Cleveland Clinic to see a world renowned specialist and see if she could provide some insight since the Dr's here in Boston had told Jim's Mom and Dad that they could not operate - Jim's Mom Sue NEVER gives up - she keeps fighting and continues to fight for Jim every day. Their insurance company denied them help when they decided to take Jim to the Cleveland Clinic so our local Fire Dept has stepped up and decided to throw a fundraiser to help out the family! What a great group of folks they are!

Here is Jim visiting last year with country singer Rodney Atkins - Jim LOVES Rodney - and with a little letter writing his family was able to arrange a visit in Nashville with Rodney!

There has been an extreme outpouring of generosity in the way of auction items and bake items - and since Ms.Bee didn't want to just bake cookies for the bake table - she decided to challenge herself a bit and see if she could make the cake pops! I had a trial run yesterday and started making the pop part today - tomorrow and Wed I will start dipping and decorating and then wrapping. I will put the baskets together on Thursday. I will post pictures when they are finished - I am very excited and think they are going to look pretty darn cool!

I'll be back later in the week with some pictures - and please keep Jim and his family in your prayers - they're a great family!Beehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10261294453490462048noreply@blogger.com2
