The TD Garden/Boston Bruins and MORE hockey news

Greetings my friends!

Today I am going to talk about some hockey do's and don'ts.   - And for all of us who have been stressing about apostrophes lately - well you can be sure there will be some errors here!

Last Thursday the Man's man acquired some tickets to the Bruins Vs. Pittsburg boxing hockey rematch.  Didn't turn out that way - it was an awful game, they lost but more importantly Ms.Bee has decided that she no longer is excited about attending any event in the TD Bank GAHDEN!   Now mind you this is a fairly new facility - but there is ZERO leg room and people are pigs!  The ladies room was disgusting - beer cups thrown everywhere - I think part of the problem may have been that the less expensive the seat - the more uncomfortable they make it for you - I have been to other games this year - sat in better seats and had better experiences.  I did snap a couple pictures while there; however Ms.Bee has forgotten how to download pictures off her cell phone so you won't get to see what pig's people are!  At least not today!

Our other hockey adventures were held this weekend on Cape Cod Massachusetts!  The annual Lobster Pot Tournament was held with 83 teams participating - t'was a beautiful weekend in the 70's - really a bonus in March for folks from these parts - a good time was had by all!

Here is Happy Tara with her Lobster Hat!

Here is Happy Matt - always happy on the ice!

There was one blip on the radar that I would like to address - crazy hockey parents!  There is always one bunch out there who ruins it for everyone else!  In our case we played a team from a very affluent area in Massachusetts and these were the worst behaved parents I have ever encountered.  It just goes to show that money can't by class!  What kind of parent encourages their child to "take out" "check him" "hit him" or "trip him" at the Mite level which consists of 7-9 year olds?  Mite level is NO CHECK! They really make it that way so little guys and girls don't get hurt!  It's a rough sport and most rational adults don't want to see their little love bugs get hurt!  Really I was absolutely astonished at the behavior of these parents.  They give hockey parents a bad name!  I think they all received one of these before entering the arena:

When they all should probably have been given these:

And that's all I have to say today - later in the week I hope to talk about something else besides hockey because really I should have one of these:

Hello Sunshine my old friend!

Hello Mr.Sun - nice to see you again - I heard you will be coming for a visit for a few days!  No need to bring a thing - just yourself will be fine - you'll be wined and dined while visiting you can be sure of that!

It's been raining cats and puppies here since Saturday - 10 total inches!  Yes, you are reading that correct - 10 inches of RAIN!  Folks are traveling around in canoes like this:

And cars are underwater........

and we've seen lots of stuff like this:

This one particularly cracks me up and I'm not sure why - these folks are sandbagging a T-station in Boston - these are the trolley car tracks - don't want water in the T-stations - that is not good!

The coastline has been hit very hard - many areas have been evacuated because their homes are so close to falling off the earth - I think this bench will soon be history....

Thankfully the rain stopped just in time - tomorrow is St.Patricks Day - Erin Go Braugh!  Get your green on and celebrate the sun - for Saint Paddy's sake!

Ms.Bee's Pet Peeve

Can you identify the image below:

That's right people it's a shopping cart!

Do you know what we do with shopping carts?

We happily return them to their proper place!

The shopping cart corral!  If you place your cart back in it after you unload it - you will get a gold star from Ms.Bee - because it seems everyone in this area is L-A-Z-Y - say it with me now  - LAZY!  Really people how difficult is it to take an extra 10 steps and put the cart back so that it doesn't roll away and end up butt up against the side of Ms.Bee's SUV?  I'm going to propose the following to my local market to do away with this growing problem in my community.  I'm going to ask the store to "rent" shopping carts - you pay $1.00 to rent your cart then when you return it to the corral - you get your $1.00 back! Easy right?  I'll bet it solves the problem because I am amazed at what people will do for a dollar!

Have a nice weekend and don't forget to put your shopping cart back in the corral - Ms. Bee thanks you.

This public service announcement has been brought to you by Ain't Miss Beehaven.

Ok - I've seen it all! Breathable chocolate?

Ok I just saw this little gadget on the news and all I can say is WTF?  (sorry Mom)

Seriously - if I'm gonna have chocolate I'm gonna eat it - not breathe it!  Some Einstein Harvard Professor invented these so you can have a whif of chocolate or rasberry chocolate or mint chocolate!  Hmmm - yeah lets all stand around and do "whifs" of chocolate - next thing you know we'll all be in chocolate rehab!

Let's see there's Sex rehab
Alcohol rehab
Prescription drug rehab
Street drug rehab
Food rehab
There's body part rehab if you have an injury; not to be confused with plastic surgery!  Probably a few others I have yet to uncover!

For crying out loud - aren't there enough rehabs in this country without having to start a chocolate one? Might as well start a family rehab too while we're at it!

"Yes - hello I'm addicted to my family - I'd like to come spend 30 days and kick my habit! And please provide lots of spa treatments and great food - also since I'm not coming for alcohol addiction - please make sure they're plenty of booze!" - I'm available to check in immediately - and I have good insurance!

Off to the store - to buy some REAL chocolate - I don't want to get addicted to snorting the shit!

The Oscar's and other disturbing news

Don't be afraid - don't be scared - It's only Ben Stiller dressed up as some character from weirdo James Cameron's recent hit movie Avatar - a movie I have not seen and may never see because Ms.Bee is not a movie buff - I can't even tell you the last time I went to the movies - I think it was maybe "The Perfect Storm" - really - maybe a kids movie in between there somewhere!  I prefer to watch movies in my own home where I can stop and start as I want - and fall asleep and get up the next morning and finish watching the movie.

This morning I was going to talk about the Oscar's but after reading The Zadge's take on the Oscars (http://www.blueskiesnadyellowdogs.com/) and knowing my sister Meg at the Members Lounge (www.designsbymeg.com/blog) cannot pass up an opportunity to comment of fashion and flare - I just know I will not come off nearly as funny or witty as these 2 ladies!  They both crack me up!

So instead this morning I am going to ask a few questions and see what others think about a very serious topic.  This past week a beautiful young girl named Chelsea King from San Diego was found after having gone missing - now another beautiful girl Amber Dubois has been reported found this morning after missing for over a year.  Authorities are saying these cases could linked

This scum bag is being held in Chelsea's death and questioned in Ambers.  John Gardner is his name.

I do not and will never understand what possesses these sexual predators to do the things they do - I just don't get it.  What I also don't get is why these sicko's are always released back into society and then end up murdering?  Why are the laws so lenient?  It pains me to see these families suffering - I can't imagine what they are going through.  I don't know what I would do if it were my child.  I just don't know.

So what do you think about the laws that put these sicko's back on the streets in a few short years?

Do you believe in the death penalty?

I think the laws are much too lenient - and I do believe in the Death penalty.  I was raised a good Catholic girl and don't think this goes along with the teachings of the Catholic Church but since I also don't believe in the Immaculate Conception, The Annunciation, and I believe in a woman's right to choose - I guess I am not a very good Catholic?  Oh well - I believe in God, and I believe in a higher being - and I believe scum bags like the guy above should be put in general population at San Quentin - until they get their turn in the chair, if they last that long.

There I said it - I can't take it back - it's what I believe - it may not be popular - but sometimes we have to take the road less traveled even though it may not be the most popular.

Let's give it up for my cousin Eliza!

Hey Everyone -

I'm going to take a minute to tell you about my cousin Eliza - she's a single Mom (divorced) who moved to the South West from the Boston area with her parents in their retirement some 20 years ago.  She raised her daughter by herself while being my Aunt and Uncle's sole support system.  My Aunt passed away in 2008 - she donated her body to science - sometimes I think she did this because my cousin has Type 1 diabetes - she was diagnosed at the age of 9 and has struggled with the disease since then.  Now in her late 40's - her insulin is no longer controlable - she has an insulin pump but it's just not cutting the mustard anymore.    So - she's going to San Francisco to have an islet tranplant - if you don't know what that is - read her blog - you'll learn a whole bunch of stuff that you never knew about Type 1 diabetes!

PS - notice she has a yellow lab too?  Think we have a little bit in common? :)

So I have a little favor to ask!  - If you could - give a shout out to Eliza this week before she leaves for SF on Saturday for her initial 3 day workup before her transplant - she's been accepted into the program and will have the transplant done there at the U of SF.  She'll be leaving on Saturday (I think) for her initial 3 day work up of tests and what not.  She'll have to leave her college age daugher behind as she has school and work.  She will also be leaving my Uncle who is getting on in years and requires much attention - she does all the care for him as well!  She also works full time!  She rocks and could really use some support from any and all woman - she and her Mom were VERY close and she misses her Mom - especially right now with all this stuff going on - so if you could - just drop in and say hi - good luck - wish you well - I am woman hear me roar!  She will SO much love to hear from other woman who rock too!  And we all do!

Eliza's blog is:

http://www.et63-hope-thetransplantjourney.blogspot.com/

Drop in and wish her well - she rocks and could use all our support!

You rock ET - your about to embark on your journey and we support you 100 percent!

Do you believe in miracles?

Well if you do you've come to the right blog today!  I believe in miracles - I watched this guy above in 1980 and he stole my heart!  Talk about having heart!

OK I admit it - I love hockey!  I've loved the game since I was a little girl and Bobby Orr stole my heart!  Yes - I fell in love at age 7!  He was a close second to my Dad!  Bobby if you're reading this - I still love you!  You're still as cute today as you were 1972 when you helped bring "The Cup" to Boston!

I remember my sister with her cat eye glasses and her Derek Sanderson tee shirt - I remember my Nana bringing us Bruins souvenirs because she was a housekeeper for a Bruins big wig and I think she got the loot from him!  We'd all gather in front of the TV to watch the "Big, Bad Bruins" fight it out on Sunday afternoons!  The fun we had!  Good times, good memories!

Today the USA faces Canada for the Gold - It's going to be an exciting game - It's going to be a fast paced, in your face kinda hockey!  They'll be lots of yelling from this part of the country - because the Man's Man likes to yell at the TV!  Me - I've got some delectable delights ready for the game and a little booze too - because really what's hockey without booze?

GO USA - Bring home the GOLD!
